The Gaslight Village Business Association welcomes the community to the annual Taste of East Grand Rapids, set for Wednesday, Aug. 20 for an evening of local flavors, artisan shopping and all-ages entertainment. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation’s Jimmy’s Friendship Fund.
 
From 5 to 9 p.m., Wealthy Street in Gaslight Village will bustle with restaurant booths offering samples of food, beverages and desserts. Artisans will display handmade crafts and goods, while participating retailers host special sales just in time for back-to-school shopping. All-ages activities, including yard games, will be available while live entertainment from the Jake and Jimmy Band will fill the air near Regatta Plaza
